La Chimère pushed Mugler’s transformed body into a dense hybrid of feather, scale, corsetry, metalwork and sculptural surface. The collection’s technical authorship is distributed across Thierry Mugler, Jean-Jacques Urcun, Mr Pearl, Jean-Pierre Delcros and atelier specialists where object records support them, making it a key example of couture as a coordinated fabrication system.
