Noir Kei Ninomiya

Noir in Bloom frames Autumn/Winter 2023 around flowers that behave less like decoration than pieces of architecture. At Le Marché des Blancs Manteaux, Ninomiya’s black material world extends into ceramic and floral head structures, with Takuro Kuwata’s contribution intensifying the tension between delicacy and armour. The flowers do not soften the work; they harden it into a system of repeated forms, surface density and body framing. Against the market hall space, the silhouettes retain compact pressure even when the surfaces bloom outward.
