Noir Kei Ninomiya

Inside the Oratoire du Louvre, Noir Kei Ninomiya Spring/Summer 2023 unfolded with a charged, ritualised mood. The mystical-forces language points towards atmosphere rather than narrative: garments are organised through tension, surface, restraint and the precise assembly that defines Ninomiya’s work. Hunter boots add weight at ground level, while the upper structures keep the body contained, framed and slightly uncanny. Drama comes through construction, not theatrical excess, making the Paris setting part of the pressure around the clothes rather than a decorative backdrop.
