A Change of Tone presented a light, deliberately unsettled menswear wardrobe by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons on 22 June 2025. Sandals in the collection were widely identified in India as deriving from Kolhapuri chappals, although Prada’s original show material did not provide that attribution.

The criticism produced a documented institutional response: in April 2026 Prada announced a Made in India limited edition and training partnership with Indian public-sector craft-development bodies. The later project does not settle the original design-source or attribution process, which remains unresolved.
