Dustulator marks Rick Owens’s first secure menswear entry at institutional scale, presented at Pitti Uomo in Florence. The collection extends the early Owens language of long, protective dressing into a menswear frame, with officer-like coats, long-john layers, voluminous shorts and a dust-stained military-sports mood. Its importance is less about a fully resolved menswear system than about visibility: Owens’s male body enters the formal menswear calendar through environment, uniform and wasteland atmosphere rather than conventional tailoring.
