Luxor AW 2023 menswear turns ceremonial scale inward through modesty, padding and containment. Shearling, denim, cowhide, pirarucu and padded forms become cloaks, skirts, gathered parkas, donut padding and spike shoulders, with orthopedic platform variations holding the body in a heavy stance. The Egyptian title-world remains present, but the collection’s force comes from Victorian modesty and self-containment rather than outward spectacle. It makes the male body look wrapped, protected and almost sealed, while still keeping Owens’s platformed verticality intact.
