Cyclops SS 2016 womenswear turns bodily dependence into the collection’s actual construction. Models carry other women on their bodies, producing doubled silhouettes from draped and strapped fabrics rather than relying on metaphor alone. The show makes support, burden and strength visible in real time: the carried body changes balance, movement, proportion and meaning. Its force comes from literal relation, not slogan. Few Owens collections make the social body this concrete, which is why Cyclops remains one of the clearest runway events in the archive.
