Edfu expands Owens’s womenswear into an explicit ancient-world and filmic scale. Transparent leather, recycled tulle, ripstop nylon, Dyneema and silk chiffon are worked into jellyfish gowns, bell jackets and huge mantles. The reference world moves through Egypt, Theda Bara, The Ten Commandments and pre-Code exoticism, but the collection is not simply costume-driven. It uses those references to alter proportion and atmosphere, making the body appear suspended between desert brightness, old studio fantasy and technical construction.
