Standing Ground

Tethys closed Standing Ground’s three-season Fashion East tenure with a study of geological time and the ancient ocean from which the collection took its name. Pearlescent silver jersey, muted earth tones and deadstock fabrics were drawn into bandeau forms, floor-length gowns and piping that rested precisely along the hipbone.

Liquid beadwork continued the internal architecture of the earlier seasons, while an icy-blue evening coat disclosed a firmer command of tailoring. The collection completed the incubator period without treating Fashion East as an author or owner of the label.
