About this collection
Standing Ground’s Spring 2025 show was Michael Stewart’s first solo runway and was organised as a trans-seasonal, made-to-order trunk show. At 180 Studios, the label broadened its material range through velvet, semi-sheer silk and sculpted leather while preserving the long, body-conscious lines established during Fashion East.
The closing khaki dress made the construction process visible without exposing its mechanics. Stewart draped two layers of jersey, drew contours directly on the cloth, digitised them for symmetry and stitched pockets that were filled by hand with micro-beads. The result turned internal weight and surface tension into the collection’s principal ornament.
