Ribbons and Shun Sudo’s Button Flower imagery give Spring/Summer 2023 a more graphic register within tao. Shown in Tokyo at the Comme des Garçons headquarters building, the presentation works through small-scale decoration rather than heavy construction: ties, floral marks, light layers and surfaces that feel drawn, pinned or gently fastened. The collaboration is best understood as motif and touch, not a takeover of the garment language. Kurihara’s clothes keep their softness while the artwork adds rhythm, colour and a compact sense of play.
