About this collection
For his first major European presentation, Thom Browne placed rows of identically dressed office workers inside a regimented environment of desks and Olivetti typewriters. The performance reduced the grey suit to a repeated unit while variations in proportion, layering and detail gradually disturbed the apparent sameness. Workwear, institutional routine and fashion spectacle became parts of the same controlled system.
