For the first Thom Browne womenswear show in Paris, familiar American summer materials were stripped of their casual ease and rebuilt through tulle, exaggerated proportion and visible structure. Seersucker, madras and tailored sportswear became unstable markers of gender and scale. The move placed womenswear within the house’s Paris presentation strategy while retaining its distinctly American source material.
