twenty-seven names opened New Zealand Fashion Week on 28 August 2018 with A cat may look at a Queen, its AW19 collection. A letter addressed to the founders’ younger selves framed a runway of 1970s-inflected silhouettes, tailored womenswear and custom prints, turning the show into a reflection on the label’s path from its teenage cultural references to a more assured adult wardrobe.
