About this collection
Black Hole pushed monochrome towards visual erasure through black garments, darkened surfaces and models styled in blackface. The racist styling is inseparable from the historical record: the collection’s stated pursuit of absorption and anonymity does not excuse the use of a dehumanising theatrical convention.
