Summer 1939 is the final season securely present in the BHVP notebook corpus, with category books for coats, day dresses and dressier garments. The collection belongs to the closing months of the original house and preserves the breadth of atelier activity immediately before Madeleine Vionnet’s retirement and the June dissolution.
