Vivienne Westwood

Always on Camera Autumn/Winter 1992–93 was shown in Paris in March 1992 and belongs to the period when Andreas Kronthaler had become a direct collection collaborator with Vivienne Westwood. Kronthaler later identified the collection as work they co-designed, making it an early clear point in the creative partnership that would shape the mature house.

The collection also sits immediately before the formal Gold Label era and the increasingly elaborate Paris shows of the early 1990s. Its importance comes from the intersection of Westwood’s established historicism with a new shared authorship that would deepen across Gold Label and menswear.
