About this collection
Anglomania Autumn/Winter 1993–94 was presented in Paris on 16 March 1993 and belongs to the moment when Westwood’s Paris identity became increasingly formalised around Gold Label. The collection combined British tailoring and tartan with exaggerated historical proportion, including the MacAndreas tartan developed with Lochcarron of Scotland.
The title later became the name of a separate diffusion line launched in 1998. The 1993 runway remains a principal seasonal collection in its own right and should be read as part of Westwood’s early Paris house history.
