Vivienne Westwood

Save the Arctic Autumn/Winter 2013–14 was presented in Paris on 1 March 2013 as part of the Gold Label sequence. Vivienne Westwood and Andreas Kronthaler were working together across the line, with Kronthaler handling final styling checks backstage as the collection linked the house’s fashion language to the growing Greenpeace campaign.

The runway made environmental advocacy unusually visible inside the Paris collection stream. Its title and imagery connected the clothes with Arctic protection while preserving the layered tailoring, historical references and theatrical styling of the mature Gold Label period.
