About this collection
SILENT translated Nakazato’s journey to Yakushima into thousands of hand-made ceramic components. More than 1,500 hours of clay work produced forms recalling river stones, driftwood and cedar rings. No added music accompanied the show; the garments created an unstable acoustic field as the pieces moved against one another, directing attention to breath, material fragility and the long duration of manual production.
