Overview
Lagos Fashion Week has, since 2011, become one of the clearest public stages for contemporary African fashion, bringing Nigerian and wider continental designers into a focused runway setting each season. Produced by Style House Files, it combines catwalk shows, presentations and related industry programming in Lagos, offering a view of labels working across ready-to-wear, occasionwear, textiles and craft-led design.
Its identity comes from position as much as scale. Lagos brings local production, international visibility and a distinctly African fashion conversation into the same public frame, rather than borrowing its meaning from European capitals. Established and emerging brands use the week to present material innovation, fabrication, styling and silhouette within a city that has become one of the continent’s most visible fashion centres.
