Overview
São Paulo Fashion Week is the most important runway event in Brazil and one of the strongest fashion platforms in Latin America. Emerging from the mid-1990s and later consolidating under its current name, the event gave Brazilian fashion a recurring stage large enough to hold established houses, rising designers and the country’s distinct mix of sensuality, tailoring, sportswear and craft references. In scale and visibility, it sits at the top of the Brazilian calendar. Its stature comes from both history and function.
São Paulo Fashion Week has been the place where Brazilian brands formalise seasonal statements, reach international press and project fashion narratives beyond the domestic market. That role has made it a key public expression of Brazilian fashion, not simply in terms of size but in the way it brings design language, industry ambition and national visibility together on the runway.
