Overview
11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi was a technical streetwear and performance label founded by Boris Bidjan Saberi in 2013 as a distinct child brand of his artisanal mainline. It adopted a separate public name, seasonal archive, product language and retail identity while remaining under Saberi’s creative direction. The label focused on jersey, nylon, denim, modular outerwear, bags and footwear designed for everyday movement, skate culture and outdoor use.
Its development depended on specialist partnerships. Ortlieb supplied waterproof bag and outerwear expertise, while the relationship with Salomon, initiated in 2016 and first shown within the Spring/Summer 2017 system, grew into a recurring footwear architecture associated with the Bamba name. Reebok, New Era, master-piece, Massive Attack, Afterlife and So iLL contributed separate product or cultural projects. Athletic Bouldering extended this network into purpose-built climbing and approach equipment without becoming a third autonomous brand.
A dedicated Spanish company began operations in November 2017 and was wholly owned at formation by Boris Bidjan Saberi SL. The historical operating structure closed in 2025, and 11 BY BORIS BIDJAN SABERI SL was legally extinguished on 21 August that year. Later retail inventory does not establish a renewed authored collection practice, so the label is recorded as inactive while its trademarks, collaboration rights and remaining product agreements remain unresolved.
Philosophy
11 by BBS translated the mainline’s distressed surfaces and anatomical fit into a more scalable technical wardrobe. Heavy cotton jersey, Japanese denim, nylon shells, waterproof membranes and externally manufactured footwear replaced much of the mainline’s scarce leather, but garments still passed through dyeing, coating, washing and finishing processes that produced irregular colour and wear.
The design language was openly graphic and modular. Numerical marks, exposed labels, heat-sealed tubing, elongated tops, articulated trousers, roll-top bags and aggressive trail footwear formed a system built for layering and repeated use. The streetwear remit did not remove technical discipline; it shifted that discipline towards weather protection, mobility, storage and the physical demands of skating, climbing and urban travel.
Collaboration served as a production method rather than a seasonal publicity device. Salomon supplied performance platforms, Ortlieb supplied waterproof construction, and So iLL and Fred Nicole contributed specialist climbing knowledge. Saberi’s authorship lay in silhouette, treatment and integration, while the partner companies retained responsibility for their own technical systems.

Button Text11 BY BORIS BIDJAN SABERI SL was extinguished in the Spanish mercantile registry on 21 August 2025 after liquidator appointments. The legal act ended the dedicated operating company, while the status of the public name, remaining inventory and collaboration intellectual property requires separate evidence.
The May 2025 closure announcement applied to the production and operating system that supported both the mainline and 11 by BBS, with an effective target at the end of July. Remaining seasonal inventory and later retailer labels do not demonstrate a renewed authored collection practice after that shutdown.
11 BY BORIS BIDJAN SABERI SL began operations on 27 November 2017 following segregation from the principal company and was registered in 2018. Boris Bidjan Saberi SL was the sole shareholder at formation, confirming a dedicated operator without making the child brand independent of the main corporate system.
Boris Bidjan Saberi launched 11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi in 2013 as a distinct technical streetwear and performance label within his wider brand system. Its public identity, seasonal archive and commercial remit were separate from the artisanal mainline even before a dedicated legal company was formed.
