Overview
Zomer is a Paris-based label founded in 2023 by Dutch designer Danial Aitouganov and stylist Imruh Asha. Named after the Dutch word for “summer”, the brand entered the Paris conversation with a proposition built on colour, texture and experimental silhouette, framed as a dialogue with contemporary art and culture rather than conventional wardrobe storytelling.
The duo’s practice is explicitly collaborative, with design and styling developed in tandem to balance childlike play with avant-garde structure. Zomer has been described through kaleidoscopic colour, unexpected texture and sculptural gestures set against more classic cuts, with humour and staging treated as part of the identity.
The brand’s early positioning has also been reinforced through Paris ecosystem visibility and selective retail support, establishing it as a young label whose point of view is expressed as much through image-making and attitude as through product codes.
Philosophy
Zomer’s philosophy is explicit about joy: “summer” functions as a mood—optimism, openness and lightness—rather than a literal seasonal limitation. Humour is treated as a legitimate design tool, and the label frames fashion as a space where colour and form can shift perception and invite play without apology.
At the same time, the project argues for sophistication through construction and styling intelligence. By pairing sculptural gestures with wearable anchors, the brand positions the wardrobe as a cultural object that still operates in real life. Collaboration is both method and message: clothing developed as a conversation—between two founders, between fashion and art, and between seriousness of making and pleasure of dressing.
The aim is aliveness: pieces that invite curiosity, attention and self-expression while remaining technically credible.
