About this collection
For Acne Studios’ Paris womenswear debut, Katerina Jebb scanned historical garments from the Palais Galliera collection and the images were printed across contemporary fabrics. The resulting trompe-l’œil surfaces placed the authority of museum dress onto straightforward coats, skirts and layered separates.
Staged at the Grand Palais, the collection addressed the house’s lack of inherited fashion archives by borrowing history as an image rather than imitating old construction. It also formalised Acne Studios’ move from London to the Paris women’s calendar.
