Acne Studios

Acne Studios reproduced paintings by Hilma af Klint across shirts, sweatshirts, scarves and other limited pieces. The project treated the Swedish artist’s geometric and spiritual imagery as a complete surface system rather than extracting a single decorative motif.

Released before af Klint’s later surge in international museum recognition, the capsule connected Acne Studios’ Swedish identity to an artist whose work had spent decades outside the established modernist canon.
