About this collection
Presented as a twisted wedding at the Palais de Tokyo, Spring/Summer 2023 marked ten years of Acne Studios womenswear shows in Paris. Pink beds, shell-encrusted candelabras and a ceremonial seating plan framed deconstructed bows, crochet, gingham, metallic spikes and exposed construction.
The collection condensed the house’s dirty-and-clean method into a single social archetype. Bridal sweetness and domestic decoration were unsettled by cut-outs, hardware and unfinished surfaces, turning the anniversary into a critique of sentimentality rather than a retrospective.
