About this collection
Woolgathering brought Patti Smith’s writing and Jim Dine’s photography into the structure of the clothes. Text was embroidered across white silk and tulle, while images hung from garments on ribbons, allowing words and photographs to move independently around the body.
Smith read from her work during the presentation, making the collection an unusually direct collaboration between fashion, poetry, performance and image.
