About this collection
Ann Demeulemeester’s final womenswear collection used oversized black mesh hats, tattoo-like Horta motifs, flocked velvet, dark florals and layered drape. Art Nouveau line entered the garments through print and surface while the silhouettes retained the founder’s familiar balance of concealment and exposure.
The collection became the last complete womenswear statement under Demeulemeester’s direct authorship before her November 2013 departure from the house.
