Anthony Calydon

Anthony Calydon reworked the adidas Originals Superstar through the material language of his Paris label. A heavy ribbed-knit tongue replaced the conventional padded construction, the lacing was partially concealed, and upright sock structures extended the same protective texture above the shoe. Previewed in black-and-white and inverted colourways, the project translated Calydon’s idea of everyday armour into a familiar sportswear form.
