About this collection
Ashlyn’s first runway translated Park’s draping and low-waste construction into a complete New York Fashion Week wardrobe. Deep pleats, ruffles and bustle-like volumes were cut in organic cotton and restrained neutrals, with flashes of red interrupting the controlled palette.
Large pieces of cloth were shaped around the body rather than reduced through conventional cut-and-sew methods, while production scraps filled internal bumrolls and other volume. The collection established the runway scale of a practice that had begun through solitary pandemic production.
