About this collection
Autumn/Winter 2002–03 was Christopher Bailey’s first securely identified official Burberry runway. The collection moved his appointment from credited studio output to a public Prorsum proposition, developing outerwear, tailoring and British reference as the foundation for the much longer system that followed. It should be read beside Spring/Summer 2002 rather than used to erase that earlier credited collection.
