About this collection
Spring/Summer 1999 was the first identified Burberry Prorsum season and Roberto Menichetti’s public debut for the house. Presented in London in September 1998, probably through a showroom rather than a conventional runway, it established Prorsum as a fashion-led line separate from the core collections. Technical outerwear and a cleaner treatment of house codes began the short six-season sequence.
