About this collection
For Spring/Summer 2000, Menichetti pushed Burberry Prorsum towards lightweight technical fabric, pared tailoring and altered uses of check. The collection presented heritage as material to be recut rather than repeated, joining British rainwear references to Italian development and manufacture. Its 22 September 1999 runway record provides the first exact event date in the surviving Prorsum sequence.
