About this collection
Dries Van Noten marked his fiftieth show by seating 500 guests at one long, chandelier-lit dinner table. After the meal, the table was cleared and used as the runway, joining hospitality, audience and presentation within a single structure.
The clothes were presented through an event whose central gesture was collective rather than monumental. The format became one of the most frequently cited examples of the house’s ability to make runway production intimate at a large scale.
