About this collection
ERDEM’s Autumn/Winter 2006 presentation at the Victoria and Albert Museum was the house’s first full standalone runway collection. Built with limited quantities of overstock tailoring cloth and offcuts, the show already joined precise structure to fragile surfaces through tulle, mikado and printed chiffon. The white chiffon dress patterned with brown birds eating butterflies gave the debut its clearest note of unease and helped secure the early Barneys New York order.
