Feng Chen Wang

Spring/Summer 2020 brought Feng Chen Wang’s regional craft practice into the centre of the mainline. Traditional Fujian lanyinhuabu indigo resist-dyeing was redirected from its conventional floral patterns into smoke-like marks across contemporary outerwear and denim, while bamboo basket structures were translated into open knitwear and literal woven panels. The collection established craft as a material process whose structural consequences remain visible in the finished clothing.
