About this collection
Les Gestuelles developed Margiela’s Hermès wardrobe around gesture and movement. Double-faced cashmere coats, slit tunic pullovers and hand-finished edges could be layered, reversed or adjusted, while the long Losange scarf introduced another way to handle Hermès silk.
The collection was presented in Antwerp in a private dinner setting rather than as a conventional spectacle. Its title and exact dating should still be checked against an invitation or press kit, but the collection is repeatedly identified in museum and editorial accounts.
