About this collection

Jean Paul Gaultier’s Hermès debut was staged at the École Militaire cavalry training ground and made the house’s equestrian origin explicit. Riding boots, leather, hardware and disciplined tailoring shifted women’s ready-to-wear towards a more theatrical treatment of the stable and uniform.

The Kelly Pochette appeared on the runway alongside strict coats, riding trousers and elongated boots. Product scale and equestrian staging worked together to announce a sharper, more performative wardrobe.
