About this collection
Margiela’s final Hermès collection continued the modular wardrobe through reversible coats, wrap dresses, adjustable belts and a narrow neutral palette. It completed twelve consecutive collections without a farewell spectacle or abrupt change of method.
The close of the tenure left a coherent body of work later reassessed through museum exhibitions as an early model of slow, durable luxury.
