About this collection
Jean Paul Gaultier’s final Hermès collection turned the runway into a riding arena with dressage horses. Leather jodhpurs, bustiers, fringed suede ponchos and flat-topped riding hats brought the seven-year tenure back to the house’s equestrian source.
The staged farewell closed his women’s ready-to-wear role before Christophe Lemaire’s succession. Its handling of leather, riding dress and spectacle condensed the most visible elements of Gaultier’s Hermès period.
