Galliano’s first Maison Margiela ready-to-wear collection translated the Artisanal debut into a commercial runway through layered tailoring, exposed construction, displaced garments and controlled historical detail. The season began the long process of working through house codes rather than treating Margiela as a neutral platform for Galliano signatures.
