About this collection
Galliano’s first Maison Margiela collection was shown to a small invited audience in London. Found garments, shell-like surfaces, mask forms, reconstruction and visible handwork introduced his theatrical authorship through Artisanal rather than ordinary ready-to-wear, establishing the line as the research centre of his tenure.
