About this collection
Fall 2017 was shown first in a sequential evening shared with Oscar de la Renta, only months after Kim and Garcia had returned to that house as co-creative directors. Monse retained its own visual grammar: shirts and tailored pieces were skewed, opened and layered through asymmetric cuts while the styling kept the younger label’s looseness intact.
The staging made the designers’ new working structure visible without merging the two brands. Monse and Oscar de la Renta occupied the same venue and creative leadership, then appeared as distinct collections with separate clients, proportions and design systems.
