Fall 2020 pushed Monse’s deconstruction through a punk register, mixing tartan, disrupted tailoring and a deliberately rougher DIY attitude with references to Fantastic Mr. Fox. The collection also incorporated collaborative Gao boots by Both, bringing footwear into the seasonal image as part of the complete silhouette.

The runway arrived at the end of Monse’s pre-pandemic physical cycle. Its combination of tailoring, subcultural styling and collaboration-led footwear captured the brand at a point when its vocabulary had moved well beyond the shirt into a broader wardrobe of outerwear, suiting and accessories.
