About this collection
Monse returned to a live fashion event in July 2021 with a runway staged alongside the HBO Max Gossip Girl premiere in Brooklyn. Prep and school-uniform associations met the house’s asymmetric construction, while the presentation connected runway dressing, television costume culture, live streaming and a short pre-order window.
The show made the pandemic-era changes in Monse’s selling strategy visible in physical form. Entertainment partnership and commerce were integrated into the presentation, yet the collection retained the label’s characteristic collision of tailoring, uniform codes and youthful sportswear.
