About this collection
N.HOOLYWOOD’s Autumn/Winter 2010–11 collection COVERAGE was shown in Tokyo on 17 March 2010 and became the final Japanese show of the label’s initial Tokyo run. The collection worked through military and media systems, including an installation using sandbags assembled to field specification with cooperation from the Japan Self-Defense Forces.
COVERAGE closes the first major chapter of Obana’s runway history at the moment he was preparing to move the presentation stage to New York. Its use of military construction as both clothing reference and spatial material also anticipates the sharper separation between the main collection and the already-established TPES military line.
