About this collection
Walter Chiapponi’s first Tod’s womenswear collection completed the opening season of his combined women’s and men’s remit. Relaxed tailoring, corduroy, masculine shirting, low footwear and soft outerwear translated familiar casual-luxury codes into a stronger fashion silhouette.
The collection did not claim a break with the house’s leather history. Its succession significance lies in making one named director responsible for both principal wardrobes after the earlier Facchinetti–Incontri split and studio interval.
