About this collection
Parasomnia turned the Spring/Summer 2013 presentation into a controlled performance. Fifteen models first occupied white hospital beds in perforated leather sleeping masks before moving through the space in stiff and delicate leathers, crisp cotton and woven paper cloth.
Oversized collars, elongated sleeves, metal hooks and shifting trouser volumes set fluid movement against restraint. The collection is the strongest surviving early example of Serfaty joining garment construction to psychological staging.
