Y/Project

Spring/Summer 2018 menswear connected mutable construction to the people wearing it. Eleven of twenty-seven models were reportedly cast from the street, second-hand shoes were sourced around Paris and reworked in the studio, and layered garments could be configured in more than one way.

The show treated casting, reuse and self-styling as practical extensions of the clothes. A collection ensemble later entered the Metropolitan Museum of Art through the 2025 Y/PROJECT ARCHIVES gift.
